Occam's Razor by C / P / S Kungl. Konsthögskolan

LUMEN PROJECT is excited to host research platform Composing / Public / Space (C / P / S).

Occam's Razor is an atmospheric experience through time and space at Eric Ericsonhallen. Individual and collective works of sound, performance, and video are interlinked, activating different architectural aspects of the church and immerse its visitors.

C / P / S, led by artist Tarek Atoui, is a post-master course within the research programme of Kungl. Konsthögskolan/Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. The approach of C / P / S stems from Atoui’s work with music, instruments and performance. Together the group think and work around these notions and their interconnections; experimental instruments and instrument making become the starting point for creating encounters with diverse audiences and engaging with the reality and musicality of a place.

The group consists of Alan Affichard, Ami Kohara, Igor Porte, Jeremiah Runnels, Johanna Mårtensson, Julia Giertz and Rossana Mercado-Rojas, all professional practitioners from areas such as music, visual arts, art history and performing arts.

The performed situations by C / P / S will guide the audience throughout the evening and the architectural-sound space of Eric Ericssonhallen.

MARTA FORSBERG: LIGHT COLOURS FOR JYDERUP

Light Colours is a light- and sound installation, originally based on sounds of violin strings. During a residency at Jyderup Højskole in Denmark late 2017, the piece took a completely new form – the loops of strings got replaced by voices of three music students from the school. Suddenly the piece got lips and lungs, creating a choir of lights.

For more about Marta's work: http://martaforsberg.com/about/

This event is FREE OF CHARGE!
Come and go as you wish - the installation is open from 10:00 to 22:00.
If you wish: bring pillows, blankets or mats to sit on!
